He stuck in his thumb and pulled out plumb.

2009 June 15

Well he certainly has something on his thumb now. I think perhaps my Marxist estimation is proving correct. How’s socialism sound? Marxist socialism variety, oh no. The 1930’s version of the SPD. Getting better all the time eh? What’s the difference. It’s all state run business and human affairs administration. Hello that’s not what American Republic stands for! Not that the special interest groups and the elected lawmakers in Washington haven’t managed screw things up royal in the near past, but still. Welcome to the new era: The Democratic Socialist Republic of America. Has a nice ring to it. Though there may not be any states left to speak of when all is said done and through. God bless the Republic of Texas.

From the AP. And Byron York of the Washington Examiner: An Inspector General, Gerald Walpin is fired from his position without proper notice. One of the persons that provisioned the rules covering such behaviour is in fact our President, as Illinois State Senator. Gee. This’ll have repercussions[yeah right he says sarcastically]. I can hear the liberal media clamoring for explanation all the way down here in podunk county!
What coincidences could lie here and what consequences of these actions have been foreseen by the presidential puppet masters?

It’s not a lie… what was the definition of is again?

2009 April 2
by SLmanDR

Biden and Obama said as a campaign promise: “No new taxes for anyone earning less than $250.000″ Sounds like the new tax on cigarettes, what $.60 per pack, is making there words lies right? No you just don’t understand the meaning of “new”. There’s already taxes on tobacco products. So if the tax goes up on already taxed items it’s not a new tax it’s just a new tax rate. See? I’ll bet you didn’t realize that you have to be a lawyer to understand campaign promises these days did you?
EDIT:
Well, I take it back. I misunderstood the quote. I guess it is a lie after all. The quote should have read “…no tax increase…” period. Oh crap another blow to political accountability in Amerika. Where’s that 1-800-I’m gonna blow my brains out number? Thanks for having the foresight to get that up on the web President Obama. Who’s idea was that?

My first Linux unbox

2009 March 23
by SLmanDR

Ok, I officially went on-line with OpenSUSE this morning at 1:45. I’ll have to put pictures up. AMD_64 processor 2.2GHz, ASUS K8V SE Deluxe motherboard, 1G memory, internet connection over Apple Airport Express from Apple Airport Extreme on router hooked up to cable internet modem, WEP128. WAP security not available yet.

UPDATE:
I wrote over the Open suse a couple more distro’s in search of what I don’t exactly know. I put DesktopBSD and was very impressed with the installer. Wow nice. But I didn’t care for the desktop. Too much stuff installed out of the box. The window manager crashed alot.. Dang it I wanted to use a BSD. Anyway I’m on to Zenwalk. It is based on Slackware. It installs nicely in Auto. The desktop is solid with only one choice for each app. Not a “hundred versions of a mail app to go through. I think the crew at Zenwalk put together a fine grouping here. Iceweasel, Icedove and OpenOffice are working splendidly with the Thunar file manager. I wante to try using the e17 desktop instead of Xfce but haven’t discovered how to make it run. The overall theme in “my” Xfce desktop is a bit blue / grey. I could stand a little more color. Maybe I just need to bump the brightness on my monitor. I’m liking this Zenwalk. My “box” is the workbench.

The Laws of Unintended Consequence

2009 March 17
by SLmanDR

They’re building a house of cards up there folks and it’s going to come crashing down on all of us. No respect for the real intent of law. No respect for the Constitution. Why didn’t they just let bad investments fail. Chapter 11 was put together by a lot smarter group of folks than are in Washington (not all of ‘em) nowadays. Thanks to the ones that still have reins in their hands on those out of control horses. More smoke and mirrors. Oh those bad bankers, let’s take their salaries away from them. That’ll let the sheeple see we are looking out for their interests (snicker, snicker). More fear uncertainty and doubt. They are dismantling this country. Why? For past sins of racism? For the collective cause? For the democratic redistribution of wealth? How much you want to bet the American Indian won’t see any developmental benefit out of this. Please almighty spirit let some Indians still be out in the woods. Somebody has to come out of this alive.

It gives me pleasure to announce to Congress that the benevolent policy of the Government, steadily pursued for nearly thirty years, in relation to the removal of the Indians beyond the white settlements is approaching to a happy consummation.

Don’t send my bust away!

2009 March 9

Hey you knuckleheads! Don’t be sending the bust of Churchill back to England. That was a gift to the American people you fools. England is our staunchest ally. Geez slap your forehead and say out loud- “what was I thinking! I was being a thoughtful marxist bureaucrat disregarding the will of the American people and I will not do something like that again, I’m sorry.”

I love this quote:
